Uttarakhand became the 27th state of the Republic of India on November 9 , 2000 . Uttarakhand borders China in the north and Nepal to the east, while its neighbour states are Himachal Pradesh to the west and Uttar Pradesh (of which it formed a part before 2000) in the south. The region is traditionally referred to as Uttarakhand in old literature and scriptures which derives from the Sanskrit for North Country .

Also known as the "Abode of Drona", Dehradun has always been an important center of the Garhwal rulers which was captured by the British.

2ndDay:- (Dehradun-Mussoorie 35Km)
Departure for Mussoorie. Sight seeing, visit Gun Hill, Municipal Garden, Camel's back road. Night stay in hotel.

3rdDay: - Departure for Dhanaulti, Surkanda Devi, Chamba night stay in Mussoorie hotel.
Dhanaulti: Dhanaulti, located amidst thick, virgin forest of Deodar, Rhododendron and Oak, has an atmosphere of the long wooded slopes, relaxed outdoors, cool caressing breeze, warm and hospitable inhabitants, lovely weather and fabulous view of snow covered mountains makes it an ideal retreat for a relaxed holiday. 4th Day:
Next day morning visit Narendr nagar , sightseeing of Rishikesh visit Laxman Jhoola, Ramjhula, Trivani Ghat etc. stay in Chilla of for over night. |

5th day(Chilla-Haridwar-Delhi)
Next day morning visit Rajaji National Park, Haridwar and departure for Delhi today. |
