The state of Himachal Pradesh was called 'Deva Bhoomi ' or the Land of the Gods. There is evidence of the existence of the pre-historic humans in this region. It is generally believed that large inhabitants of this region had actually migrated from Central Asia and the Indian plains from time to time. The first race to enter Himachal Pradesh was Proto-Australoid followed by Mongoloid and the Aryan. The Rig Veda mentions about Dasyus and Nishads living in this region and their powerful king Shambra who had 99 forts. From the early period of its history, tribes like the Koilis, Halis, Dagis, Dhaugris, Dasa, Khasas, Kinnars and Kirats inhabited it.

Day 04: Shimla/ Manali (280 kms)

Day 05: Manali
Morning half day city tour visiting Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Tibetan Monastery and Vashisht Village. Afternoon free. Overnight at hotel.

Full day excursion visiting Kothi Gorge, Gulaba, Marhi, Rohtang Pass (Upto Snow Line in case Rohtang is closed due to snow fall) and Sollang Valley. Overnight at hotel. |
Day 07: Manali/ Manikaran
Full day excursion visiting Manikaran. Manikaran has the World's hottest Suplhur Spring Waters and is a holy place for Hindus & Sikhs alike. Return back to Kullu town enroute visiting the famous Kullu Shawl Industry. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening free to visit Kullu town. Overnight at hotel.

Travel by surface from Kullu to Mc Leodganj (Dharamsala). On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
