Heritage Getaways brings to you yet another fine adventure, this time on the Alaknanda River . The first camp of its kind on this near perfect location, aiming at delivering an unforgettable outdoor experience to all our guests.
The camp is located on a stunning, white sandy, beach surrounded by beautiful villages, fields and forests, beside a pristine meadow on the banks of the mighty Alaknanda river, which dominates the sight. This safari style, semi-permanent camp, provides everything one could ask for in the outdoors, keeping the environment in high regard. The accommodation here is as luxurious as possible under canvas tents.

1st Day :
Reach The Heritage Getaways camp at Maletha by breakfast / lunchtime. You will be allotted your tent and, after you have had a chance to freshen up you, will be given a briefing about safety on the river, camp and all our activities. The camp is on a fine-looking meadow with a beach along the beautiful Alaknanda River . Spend the evening kayaking in front of camp, rappelling or playing beach volleyball. There are plenty of activities around camp; we can also arrange short hikes around camp. There are also plenty of games, like beach volleyball etc. Later in the evening you can freshen up with a shower, camp style, followed by a bonfire and dinner.

2nd Day : Wake up to the cacophony, by river side and after a good breakfast we head down the Alaknanda to negotiate another great set of rapids before the end up the convergence of the Alaknanda with the Bhagirathi; a fine spot with the two rivers merging as you float past the temples of Devprayag. The rafting today takes about three hours with some impressive rapids along this section of river.
Lunch is served on the banks of the river - tents are available to change into dry clothing. At this point you are met with your luggage, which is transported from camp down river in order to save time and proceed back to your destination after lunch.
